Hello

My name is Omri and I am a Product Designer based in San Diego, CA. When I'm not working, I am finding ways to stay active and take advantage of all the city has to offer, like weekend beach days with my family, early morning surf sessions, taking my dogs to the park, and the occasional trip up to the mountains.

My Design Values

When it comes to my approach to UX design, regardless of the timeline, constraints, or problem that I am faced with, I always ensure that I am staying true to the core values that I feel are integral for designing quality products:

Thoroughly Informed Research and Discovery
In order for a proposed design to have merit, it must rest on a foundation of insights coming from real users. Regardless of what timelines and resources are available to you, every design initiative should begin with the questions "What is known?" and "What do we need to know?".
Continuous Communication and Cross Functional Collaboration
As UX Designers we must understand our role within a product team and the larger organization. By understanding the expertise and value that our partners bring to the table, we can ensure that our ideas are properly informed, feasible, and account for the needs of the business. It is therefore critical to involve partners and stakeholders early and continuously in the design process, to mitigate chances for surprises and necessary rework.

Data Driven Decision Making
Whether justifying a design decision, or speaking to the success of a solution, it is critical to have real numbers and data points to reference. Utilizing data effectively, gives design work backing and reduces ambiguity.
Developing a Thorough Understanding of Product Industry
Each industry comes with its unique user behaviors, expectations and pain points, as well as specific regulatory, technical, and market constraints. By understanding these nuances, we as designers can address user needs, and align them with business goals and competitive pressures.
Quick and Frequent Validation of Ideas
Validating designs through frequent and lean testing, reduces risks and instills stakeholder confidence by grounding ideas in tangible an referenceable data,
